If you are currently with another supplier for Mounjaro, Wegovy or other GLP-1 weight management medication; you can still switch over to ourselves. Eligibility

There are a few criteria required to be suitable for using medicated weight loss injections or tablets – the main one being your weight or body mass index (BMI). There are many options available on the NHS but this is something you’d need to discuss with your GP as it is usually only used in combination when you have also been diagnosed with diabetes.

Medication choice

There are several different options from tablets to injections (daily and weekly). The most popular are the weekly injections.

Can I get on the NHS?

This is something you’d need to discuss with your GP, however, your BMI would have to be over a certain value and you typically will have to be diagnosed with diabetes. The criteria vary between healthboards, but in general these would be the two key metrics.

About the Private Weight Management & Weight Loss Service.

Who is this service for?

The service is available to patients aged 18 years and above and with a BMI over 27 (with other health conditions) otherwise a BMI over 30. Like all other private services, you will undergo a face-to-face or telephone consultation with a pharmacist to ensure it is clinically appropriate for you to be prescribed any prescription only weight management medication. If it is, your pharmacist will be able to supply the chosen medication whether it be a weight loss tablet or weight loss injection.
